What is “The Xtreme Team”?
The Xtreme Team is an opportunity for families and individuals to take a “mission trip,” right here in Albuquerque! They will help with Not So Extreme Makeover, and enjoy worship, hanging out, playing, and processing together. They will eat together, sleep at the church, mobile shower unit (a luxury!) just as you would on a “distant” mission trip.
How will the Xtreme Team be formed?
First, complete a Volunteer Pledge. Someone will contact you with information and an application. Everyone is welcome to apply, but there is limited space. Childcare will be available for small children, but every effort will be made to include them in serving when appropriate and safe.
What will the Xtreme Team do?
A little bit of everything. Team members’ unique abilities will be considered, but the Xtreme Team is the backbone of X-Week. They will move stuff, sort stuff, tag stuff, load stuff, deliver stuff, task people, help people, deliver messages, feed people, encourage people, pray for and with people, etc. They will learn about the needs in our city, and the ways God is calling people to meet those needs. They will play together, pray together, and build new and lasting friendships. They might also serve on a Go Team.
How do I sign up for the Xtreme Team?
Begin by completing the volunteer pledge here. You will be contacted to complete an application form. Be patient, the application is under construction!
